| Contra-Indications | Fungi, viral, TB and purulent infections, pregnancy, perforation of ear drum. |
| Side Effects | Adrenal suppression especially in infants, super-infection, local irritation |
| Dosage | 2-3 drops BD. Alternatively a gauze or cotton wick saturated with the solution may be inserted 10 days under normal circumstance. |
| Special Information | An aural corticosteroid solution with an anti-microbial component. Clioquinol is effective against fungi e.g. candida, microsporum, trichophyton, gram-positive bacteria e.g. staphylococcus and moderate inhibitory effect on gram-negative bacteria. |
